Clearway Energy Group (“Clearway”) is one of the largest renewable power businesses in the U.S. and was formed with the completion of the sale of NRG Energy, Inc.’s renewables platform to GIP. Clearway owns over 7 GW (net) of installed capacity, including over 4 GW of operating wind and solar assets that are predominantly self-operated, and an approximately 9 GW development pipeline. Clearway includes the controlling interest in Clearway Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CWEN), a publicly-traded dividend growth-oriented company, which owns the vast majority of Clearway’s operating portfolio. Clearway employs approximately 900 professionals and has assets located in over 25 states.

The acquisition of Clearway by GIP was completed in August 2018 and is the largest U.S. renewable power transaction ever completed.
